The year has started off with a bang. Tracee and I have been so busy creating custom vacation packages that some days when we look up it's already 2:00pm and we haven't even been to lunch. [Note to self: must keep a supply of snacks at my desk during 1st Quarter]. We are so blessed to kick off the year with so many people eager to plan their getaways.
January always brings newly engaged couples who are excited to plan their honeymoon or destination wedding. Our couples continue to want an all-inclusive, adults-only resort experience in the Caribbean and Mexico. Although I do have to say that Hawaii is very popular right now too. Some of the romantic hotspots include:
Dominican Republic • Cozumel, Mexico • Riviera Maya, Mexico Cancun, Mexico • Jamaica • St. Lucia • Antigua • Bahamas
Ever wonder why we love our job so much? Well I thought I’d give you a glimpse into some of the opportunities we get to be a part of everyday. We love building lasting relationships with our clients and here’s how it starts…
I booked a Surprise Birthday trip to Honolulu last week!
I got to know a sweet Mom as we planned a fun Senior Girls Spring Break trip to Cancun [and yes, the mothers are joining the girls].
I had a blast working with four lovely ladies while we planned their Sisters Cruise to the Western Caribbean. These ladies have been a hoot; in fact I'd really like to join them. Can Tracee and I close the office for a week and come with?
And one of my all time favorites…getting to know giddy Brides as we plan their unforgettable honeymoon [the Grooms are great too]!
It’s the little things in life that bring you joy. Cheers to 2010!

Bridal Show in Little Rock
Last weekend Tracee and I traveled to Little Rock for the state's largest Bridal Show. On Sunday from 12:30-5 we mingled with many brides and grooms. Dayna Gober with Trend Style Events designed our booth. We try to go for a chic hotel lobby feel and I think we accomplished it with her gorgeous furniture. We also place photos of Destination Weddings in our booth and the brides are always drawn to them. Benfield Photography has been so gracious to partner with us on the photos. Tabitha Cunningham with the AR Democrat Gazette does a wonderful job with this show. This year made our 3rd appearance at the January Bridal Show in Little Rock.

New Secrets Resorts to Open in Jamaica
Have you experienced Secrets Resorts in Mexico? If you have, you're sure to be planning a trip to Jamaica soon. If you haven't, you'll be booking a package by the time you finish reading this post and check out their website. AMResorts is set to open their two newest resorts in Montego Bay, Jamaica this year. Secrets St. James and Secrets Wild Orchid are set to open March 2010. These adults-only, luxurious all-inclusives are great for couples celebrating their honeymoon, anniversary or even just a romantic getaway. Secrets has trademarked the phrase Unlimited-Luxury, and let me tell you firsthand that is exactly what you get and then some.

24-hour concierge and room service, breathtaking oceanviews, well appointed suites, premium beverages, daily and nightly entertainment, world class spa and gourmet restaurants.
Possibly the best news is that you can experience two resorts for the price of one. Guests can enjoy all the benefits of both resorts while staying at one.

Love the wild life?
We received a postcard in the mail today from Tourism Queensland and it was too cute not to include on our blog. Who doesn't want to pet a kangaroo or hold a cute koala bear? Queensland, Australia is a great place to experience just that and so much more. They have 300 sunny days a year and a great climate that appeals to many travelers.
You’ll be able to enjoy outdoor sports and alfresco dining anytime you visit. Forge lasting memories by participating in activities with friends and family…witness wildlife in their native habitats, attempt skydiving or even follow in the footsteps of early pioneers in the Outback.
Step back in time as you view Aboriginal rock art or attend a local exhibition at a regional gallery. And then there’s the shopping, a favourite pastime for many.
Markets, galleries and boutiques all bring basket loads of goodies no matter whether you're looking to splurge or are bargain hunting; you'll be satisfied with the choices.
With so much going on in Queensland, you definitely won't run out of things to see or do, you may simply just run out of time!
